BC Band Association The British Columbia Band Association (BCBA) is a non-profit
organization serving community bands throughout the province
of British Columbia in Canada. We seek to foster, promote,
and encourage the establishment, growth, and development of
band music in British Columbia through national, provincial,
regional, and local programs, resources, and social
activities. The BCBA currently has 117 members. This
is a Facebook Page, not a website. |

Cascadia Wind Ensemble Cascadia Wind Ensemble is a flourishing concert band in the
Lower Mainland of British Columbia. The Cascadia Wind Ensemble
welcomes adult and youth musicians who own their own instruments and want to
play in a challenging and rewarding musical environment. |

Delta Concert Band The Delta Concert Band, formed in October of 1964, is
comprised of adult-aged amateur musicians from all over the
lower mainland of British Columbia. Our repertoire includes
a wide range of music mostly at the Grade 3 to 5 level.
Concerts in recent years include: Delta Parks summer shows,
the Ladner Bandfest, a Delta Special Olympics fundraiser,
the Boundary Bay Airshow, St John Ambulance Annual
Inspection, and collaborations with the Delta Choral Society
and the Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir. |

Delta Music Makers Delta Music Makers Community Band Society, known simply as
the Delta Music Makers, is dedicated to giving adult
intermediate band musicians the opportunity to perform music
for their enjoyment and education under competent musical
direction. The band offers a service to the community by
performing music before the public and hospital shut-ins, as
well as with other band groups in the Lower Mainland and
abroad. |

Fraser Valley Community Winds The Fraser Valley Community Winds is a community-based
charity that comes together to contribute and build our
musical skills, perform quality music, have fun, and
contribute to community spirit through music! The FVCW is a
registered charity as the Abbotsford Concert Band Society.
We are proud to serve our community through music and
dedicate ourselves to advancing appreciation of quality
music, growing in musical skill, and reaching hearts of all
ages. Our ensemble includes members from their early teens
to late eighties, and range from people who like to keep up
with their hobby to musicians with a career in the field.

Little Mountain Brass Band Little Mountain Brass Band is a brass
band ensemble from Vancouver, British Columbia,
Canada. LMBB is a recreational, non-auditioned band
that plays music arranged for British-style brass band.
Instrumentation follows British brass band practice, with
cornets, flugelhorn, Eb alto (tenor) horns, baritone horns,
euphoniums, trombones, basses and percussion. However, the
band has at times in the past included F horns and trumpets
as well. |

Maple Ridge Concert Band The Maple Ridge Concert Band (MRCB) is a community
association made up of over 75 members of all ages and
musical abilities between the Performance, Intermediate, and
All Beginners Concert band groups. Our mission is to provide
a friendly atmosphere for all our members. We strive to
promote the performing arts and share our musical
camaraderie and enthusiasm within our community and beyond. |

Metropolitan Concert Band We are a community band comprised of musicians from all over the
Metro Vancouver area, and from all walks of life. For more than
30 years we have been putting a little music in the hearts of the people in our
communities. |

New Westminster and District Concert Band The Senior Band is a performance level band. The difficulty
of the music is at the high school (grade 12) level and up.
Admission to this band is based on ability, not age, so
there is quite a variety of ages within the group. In
addition to the Society’s annual concerts, the Senior Band
plays in local festivals and community concerts 2 or 3 times
per year. |

Royal City Concert Band Royal City Concert Band is a band of enthusiastic and motivated
amateur musicians, established in 1987. Under the baton of
Music Director Kris Covlin, we play an eclectic and
ambitious blend of world class compositions, drawn from the best
arrangements in the worlds of Pop and Rock, Jazz and Big-Band, Broadway Classics,
Movies and Television, Contemporary and Traditional Band music,
Classical Arrangements for wind, Canadian Folk, and Contemporary
(that's right, and the stuff is awesome) and last, but certainly not least,
some of the Best Marches Ever Written. |

Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble The Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble is a 50+ piece wind symphony
led by our Music Director, Tak Maeda. The ensemble grew out
of the former North Vancouver Alumni Band. Established in
1987, 2022-2023 is our 35th season.

South Fraser Community Band The South Fraser Community Band has been entertaining the
masses from beautiful British Columbia, Canada since 1989.
We are an intermediate level band and a non-profit society
of music lovers, dedicated to interacting with the South
Fraser community through music! Our aim is to nurture
musical performance talents and the enjoyment of music by
everyone in our community by performing music with a broadly
based appeal. We perform where the people are - in parks,
schools, nursing homes, malls, anything goes! We provide a
wide range of music, including classics, popular show tunes,

Vancouver Concert Band We are a community band whose members have a wide variety of
experience levels ranging from "developing" to professional.
Our repertoire generally ranges from level 3 to 5, with
performance material tending to average level 3.5 in
difficulty. If you can only play the quarter notes you're
still welcome, but we have material to challenge all
players. |

West Vancouver Concert Band We are an intermediate level adult community concert band. We play a wide
variety of genres from classical to jazz to show tunes to
contemporary. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for
adult amateur musicians (18+) to play, practice and
perform in a friendly and supportive environment. |

Ellington on the Web In January 2005, Professor Andrew Homzy of Concordia
University asked if anyone was up to the job of compiling a
list of Ellington-related websites. David Palmquist thought
he'd give it a try. It has since grown to include a
cross-referenced list of Ellington CDs, to help purchasers
avoid buying the same recordings on different CDs, and The
Dooji Collection, a comprehensive and growing collection of
Ellington record labels. |
